Grade 1. |

Awarded to boys who have regularly attended a course of instructions and
demonstrate a knowledge of the following: |

The history and development of the Police Force in the UK. |
| 2. |
The Organisation and ranks
of the Police Force. |
|
3. |
The Crime Prevention Officer, and Neighbourhood Watch schemes. |
| 4. |
Making a 999 call. |
|
In addition they should: |
| 5. |
Participate in a visit to a Police Station |
| 6. |
Design a Crime Prevention poster. |
|
|
|
|
|
Grade 2. |
|
Awarded to members who have regularly attended a course of instruction and
demonstrate a knowledge of the following: |
| 1. |
The material in items 1-4 above. |
| 2. |
Be able to compile a pedal cycle check list. |
| 3. |
Know the actions required to maintain security of their
personal possessions. |
| 4. |
Know the techniques for giving a good description of a
person. |
| 5. |
Know the techniques for giving a description of a motor
vehicle. |

In addition they should: |
| 6. |
Complete exercises in describing a). a person and b). a
vehicle. |
| 7. |
Complete a check list such that the police would be able
to recognise a cycle or of the contents of their bedroom. |

| Grade 3. |
|
Awarded to those who hold Grade 2 and regularly attend a course of
instruction and can demonstrate a knowledge of the following: |
| 1. |
Crime prevention in the home. |
| 2. |
Holiday security. |
| 3. |
How to complete a motor vehicle check list. |
|
In addition they should: |
| 4. |
Meet and talk with a Special Constable. |
| 5. |
Complete a security survey of the Church Hall or of their
own Home. |
| 6. |
Describe an incident involving two or three people and
associated objects, recalling the appearance of the people, the sequence
of events and the interaction between individuals. |
| 7. |
Give a talk on an aspect of Crime Prevention to other
members. |
