Part 2 - The
organisation of The Boys' Brigade at Local and National level, and the
International aspect of the Brigade.
Part 3 - The Boys'
Brigade Drill Book (Recruit Drill - Elementary and Squad).
Drill Book in Fours (Preface; Paragraph 2;
Chapter 2 Sections a & b and Chapters 4 & 6-10) OR
Drill Book in Threes (Preface; Paragraph 2;
Chapter 2 Sections a & b and Chapters 4 & 6-9)
Part 4 - The Boys'
Brigade Drill Book (Company Drill).
Drill Book in Fours (Chapter 2 Section c
and Chapters 5 & 11-13) OR
Drill Book in Threes (Chapter 2 Section c
and Chapters 5 & 10-12)
The examination will
consist of THREE questions in each of Parts 1 & 2 and FOUR questions
in each of Parts 3 & 4. All questions in Parts 1 & 2 shall be
attempted, and FOUR questions in all from Parts 3 & 4. All questions
shall have the same value and a pass mark of at least 60% shall be
attained.
The examination may be conducted by any qualified Officer of the Brigade,
other than an Officer of the Boy's own Company.
NCO's Proficiency
Star
Awarded to NCOs of 16 B.B. age or more, who hold the Seniors'
Proficiency Certificate (not necessarily gained in a previous session) and
who pass in that session a practical examination based on the Drill Book,
including:
(a) Instruction in Recruit Drill
(elementary and squad)
(b) Words of Command
(c) Knowledge of Squad and Company Drill.
The examination may be conducted by any qualified Officer of the Brigade,
other than an Officer of the NCO's own Company.
