First Aid

All examinations will be based on "First Aid," the joint manual of the St. John Ambulance Association, the St. Andrew's Ambulance Association and the British Red Cross Society, obtainable from Brigade Headquarters, and conducted by qualified medical men or other competent examiners, other than the Lecturer.

Where the examination is the same for each year, a progressive passmark should be set, e.g. 50%, 60%, 70%, etc. Where the standard and scope of the examination is raised for each year a lesser equivalent passmark should be set.

All examinations will be conducted on a practical and written and / or oral basis.
